Really, really well-written historical fiction. Two family clans in a war that's lasted for generations may find peace through the marriage of their "royal" children. But after so many years of hatred, is it enough?
Although I love this genre, I don't enjoy the predictability or the overdone physical attractions that usually happen in the first chapter of historical romances. Jennifer Hudson Taylor avoided both of these pitfalls and I definitely enjoyed her writing style. This was a feel-good, warm-fuzzy, rainy day book, made even better because I snagged it for free on Amazon.
